2. Business Information Accuracy

What to do: Ask AI: "Tell me about [your business name]"

Pass criteria: AI describes your services, location, and contact details correctly
Fail: AI gives wrong information, mixes you up with others, or says it can't find you
Fix if failed: Update Google Business Profile and ensure website has clear About page

3. Schema Markup Check

What to do: Go to Schema.org Validator, enter your homepage URL

Pass criteria: LocalBusiness or Organization schema detected with name, address, phone
Fail: No schema found or critical fields missing
Fix if failed: Add basic LocalBusiness schema markup (15-30 min task)

4. NAP Consistency

What to do: Compare your Name, Address, Phone on: website footer, Google Business Profile, top directory listing

Pass criteria: Identical across all three (exact match, character for character)
Fail: Any variation (e.g., "St" vs "Street", different phone format)
Fix if failed: Standardize to one format and update everywhere

5. Google Business Profile Completeness

What to do: Log into your Google Business Profile

Pass criteria: 100% complete with: business name, full address, phone, website, hours, category, description, photos
Fail: Any field incomplete or "unverified" status
Fix if failed: Complete all fields today (10 min)

6. Service Description Clarity

What to do: Read your homepage hero section and services page

Pass criteria: Specific service names (e.g., "emergency plumbing," "payroll software") in first 100 words
Fail: Generic terms like "solutions," "services," "expertise" without specifics
Fix if failed: Rewrite homepage to lead with specific services in plain language

7. Website Structure

What to do: Check your main navigation

Pass criteria: Clear, labeled pages: Home, About, Services (or Products), Contact
Fail: Creative names, nested menus, or missing standard pages
Fix if failed: Reorganize navigation to standard structure

8. Contact Information Visibility

What to do: Check your website footer and Contact page

Pass criteria: Phone, email, and full address visible in footer or dedicated contact page
Fail: Only contact form, no phone, or vague location (e.g., "London area")
Fix if failed: Add full contact details to footer and contact page

9. Trust Signals

What to do: Review your homepage and about page

Pass criteria: At least 2 of: customer reviews (with link), certifications, professional memberships, awards
Fail: No third-party validation visible
Fix if failed: Add review widget or link, display certifications/memberships

10. Mobile Optimization

What to do: Open your website on your phone

Pass criteria: Loads quickly (<3 seconds), text readable without zooming, buttons easy to tap
Fail: Slow load, requires pinch-zoom, tiny buttons
Fix if failed: Use mobile-responsive template or fix CSS/image optimization

Your AI Visibility Score

Count your points:

• 8-10 points: Good AI visibility. Monitor monthly and maintain standards.
• 5-7 points: Partial visibility. Fix failing items within 2 weeks to improve dramatically.
• 0-4 points: Invisible or unreliable to AI. Priority fixes needed urgently.

Address failing items in this order for maximum impact:

Priority 1 (Do today - 30 min total):
